This is a really good window into local news and life in the Eden Valley of Cumbria.
Little Salkeld Watermill is a member of Nurture Eden, part of Nurture Lakeland. Nurture Lakeland is a unique, award-winning organisation, inspiring people to care for Cumbria’s natural environment through responsible tourism. Through our ‘A Green Eden’ project, Nurture Eden is working exclusively in the Eden area of Cumbria to support businesses to develop a wide-ranging programme of low impact, responsible tourism activity. Cumbria has some of the most stunning landscapes in the world. However our environment can be surprisingly fragile. By working with local businesses and visitors to the area, promoting responsible tourism and fundraising for conservation, we are working to protect wildlife, landscape and environment, improve access and support local communities. As members of Nurture Eden and with the help of our customers who use our Harvest Flour we raise money for local conservation work. We are also working with Nurture Eden to improve our own environmental practices. Help look after the places you love and discover what goes on behind the scenes to keep our special landscapes beautiful by joining us at www.agreeneden.org |
